CFD Project Engineer

This is a unique opportunity to work with the state-of-the-art simulation technology for fluid-particle flows across diverse industries, and to make major contributions to our customer's production of oil, electricity, specialty chemicals and high-purity materials. Your efforts can help enable critical, emerging technologies such as coal and biomass gasifiers, low-emissions CFB coal plants, economical extraction of tar sands for petroleum feedstocks from North American reserves, and high-purity silicon for photovoltaics.

Overview of Engineering Position

Perform engineering analysis of complex, three-dimensional, transient fluid - particle systems in industrial processes using classical techniques as well as our Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics (CPFD^®) software technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with both commercial Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software and fluidized particle systems. Successful applicants will be self-starters and will assume responsibility for large-scale engineering analysis activities with minimal supervision. Additional duties include software testing and customer support.

Position Responsibilities

• Understand customer objectives and plan engineering project work-scope
• Perform computational analysis of fluid - particle systems
• Evaluate and analyze results and critically evaluate design / systematic modifications
• Customer support
• Software testing
• New user training

Technical Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years industrial CFD experience
• Experience modeling compressible / thermal fluid flow behavior in industrial systems is required
• Technical knowledge of fluidized systems and reaction kinetics is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with CAD and CAE applications
• Critical evaluation skills. Ability to make sound decisions by blending analytical thinking with practical judgment. Ability to rationally explain decisions to management and customers.
• Desire for continuous learning
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
• Familiarity with Linux

Lead, Marketing and Sales for CFD Engineering Software

Job Description

Take lead responsibility for worldwide marketing and sales activities with our unique Barracuda computational-particle-fluid-dynamics (CPFD^®) engineering software. Position requires extensive travel for on-site customer visits to present code capabilities with both domestic and international opportunities. Develop marketing materials, follow-up contact leads, handle tradeshows, coordinate sales agents, etc. Perform demonstration engineering projects across a range of industries including petrochemical, chemical, power generation, and others. Position reports directly to the company co-owners.

Experience Requirements

Demonstrated experience in marketing and sales, with a proven record of closing engineering software sales. Competence with use of commercial CFD software and engineering project support. In-depth familiarity with petrochemical or chemical industries is highly desirable, especially for fluid/particle systems.

Educational Requirements

MS, BS or PhD in engineering or scientific field.

Salary

Highly competitive and depending on experience with a performance bonus.
