SeeFoam is an engineering software package used to model the creation of foam patterns. SeeFoam’s unique Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics (CPFD) numerical formulation models not only the pre-Expanded PolyStyrene (EPS) motion and air flow inside the tooling cavity, but also the significant interaction between the two.

It is now possible to predict if a pattern is likely to contain a defect before beginning the costly and time-consuming tooling-creation process. Using SeeFoam, engineers can numerically “look inside” the virtual tooling to determine and correct the root-cause of any non-ideal filling behavior.
